The Rajasthan Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for the year 2013 was conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), Ajmer. The exam, aimed at candidates aspiring to become teachers in lower primary and upper primary schools across Rajasthan, took place on December 29, 2013, at various districts in the state.
The RTET Level – I Exam, intended for teaching Class I to V, was held on December 29, 2013, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Candidates were required to meet certain qualifications, including:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Similarly, the RTET Level – II Exam, aimed at teaching Class VI to VIII, was held on the same day from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The qualifications for this level included:
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
The application fee for a single exam (either Level-1 or Level-2) was Rs. 400, while for both exams, it was Rs. 600. Interested and eligible candidates were required to apply online through the official website of RTET, www.examrtet.rajasthan.gov.in, starting from October 24, 2013. The application process involved paying the required fee through E-Mitra Kiosk OR CSC across Rajasthan, filling the RTET 2013 Application Form, uploading a photo and sign, and finally submitting the form.
