REET 2012 Exam Date and Notification History

The Rajasthan 3rd Grade Teachers Recruitment for the year 2012 by the Panchayati Raj Department witnessed a massive drive to fill over 41,000 vacant positions for 3rd Grade Teachers across various districts in the state. The recruitment process, facilitated by Zila Parishad/District, incorporated the Rajasthan Teachers Eligibility Test (RTET) scores, accounting for 20% of the total marks, with the remaining being evaluated through a written examination conducted later at the district headquarters.

The recruitment notification, issued by the Panchayati Raj Department, provided comprehensive details including the number of vacancies, exam dates, age criteria, educational qualifications, paper patterns, and the application procedure. The notification, released district-wise, highlighted the openings available in each district, including the break-up of vacancies for Level-1 (Class I to V) and Level-2 (Class VI to VIII) teachers.

Other Important Details:

  • Application Fee: Rs. 250/- (Rs. 150/- for OBC and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST) plus Rs. 40/- online portal charges.
  • Education Qualification:
    • Level 1 (Class 1 to 5): Minimum 50% marks in 12th or equivalent, or other qualifications as per rules.
    • Level 2 (Class 5 to 8): Graduation with B.Ed or equivalent qualifications as per rules.
  • Reservation: As per the Government of Rajasthan.
  • Pay: During probation, a fixed pay of Rs. 8950; after two years, placed in Pay Scale of Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay 2800.
  • Age: 18-35 years, with relaxation as per rules.
  • Paper Pattern: The 3rd Grade Teachers’ paper was a 2-hour exam with 200 objective-type questions for both Level-1 & Level-2.

The application process commenced on March 2, 2012, and the last date for application submission was April 2, 2012. The examination for Level-1 (I to V) & Level-2 (V to VIII) took place on May 13, 2012, at various District/Block headquarters. Candidates were required to apply online at the RPSC website http://www.exam.rajpanchayat.gov.in/, ensuring all necessary documents were scanned and ready for upload.
