REET 2020 Notification History, Check previous Eligibility

REET Exam Date 2020 Announcement:

In a past event, the Rajasthan government officially announced the date for the REET exam. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot disclosed the exam dates on a Friday, marking the completion of two years of his government. Gehlot announced that the REET exam would be conducted on April 25, 2021. This announcement brought hope to aspirants, as 31,000 teaching positions were to be filled through this exam. The REET notification was expected to be released very soon.

Relaxation in Eligibility Marks:

In a past development, the Education Department declared relaxation in passing marks for various categories in the REET teacher eligibility test. Several categories were granted relaxation in eligibility marks. According to the order, reserved categories in REET received relaxation ranging from 5% to 20% in eligibility marks. The REET Notification 2020 detailed these changes.

It’s noteworthy that 60% marks were mandatory for REET eligibility. According to the new order, eligibility marks were set at 60% for the general category (both TSP and non-TSP areas), 55% for ST (non-TSP area), and 36% for ST (TSP area). Eligibility marks for SC, OBC, MBC, and EWS categories (both TSP and non-TSP areas) were fixed at 55%. In previous REET exams held in 2015 and 2017, all categories required at least 60% marks for eligibility.

Validity Period:

In the past, the validity of the REET eligibility certificate was for a period of 3 years from the date of issue. This was consistent with the previous practice where REET eligibility was valid for 3 years. Prior to 2015, its validity was extended to 7 years.
