About REET 2024 Exam

REET stands for Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers. By its name, it is clearly understood that this is teaching post-exam. R.E.E.T exam is a mandatory exam for the teaching job in Rajasthan. The best part of REET exam is its validity. In 2022, the education minister of Rajasthan Dr BD Kalla declared that those candidates who will qualify for the exam will be awarded lifetime validity certificates for the reet exam. This means candidates can apply any time after clearing the exam before the upper age limit set by the BSER department. Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education conducted paper 1 and paper 2. Level Paper 1 is for the primary teacher (class I to V) and level Paper 2 exam is for the upper primary teacher exam ( class VI to VIII). It should be noted that candidates can apply for both exams.

REET BSER 2024 Notification

The Board of Secondary Education will release the official notification at the end of July 2024. Once the notification is printed by the officials we will update this page and also provide a precise date for applying online and exam dates. Meanwhile, candidates are requested to check the previous year’s notifications for the online instruction set by the Education minister of the state. Last year’s notification direct link is shared end of the same post. As soon as officials release Reet 2024 latest notification we will update last year’s notification with the latest notification.

REET Exam 2024 Exam date

As per the source, There is a high chance that the reet 2024 exam will be conducted after December month because of the election. So we can say that the exam is expected at the end of July month of 2024. Furthermore, expected dates are mentioned end of the post. As we know the Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers is a state-level exam, so most applicants in Rajasthan are waiting for the exam date. No matter whether you are interested in the level 1 exam level 2 exam or both primary and upper primary exam, the apply online link and official notification will be the same. REET Exam Eligibility criteria

Before applying for the exam candidates need to check the 3 things. First is education qualification, second is the age limit and third is document verification. These 3 things applicants must have. Let’s talk about it in detail below:-

REET level 1 education qualification: Check out the following education criteria to become eligible to appear in the primary teacher exam i.e from class 1st to 5th.

-> Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
->Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
->Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
->Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
->Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education

REET level 2 education qualification: Check out the following education criteria to become eligible to appear in the upper primary teacher exam i.e from class 6th to 8th.

Graduated or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Graduated or post-graduated with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduated with at least 45% marks and passed or appeared in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), following the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- a year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- the year in B.A. /B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

“At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and B.Ed.” the following Proviso inserted-“Provided that minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not apply to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course before the 29th July 2011.”

REET Exam Age limit

The age limit for both exams (level 1 and level 2) will be the same. The lower age limit is 18 years but the upper age limit is depend on the individual candidates because of their belonging category. The category-wise age limit is provided below.

REET Level 1 Exam pattern

If applicants are applying for the class 1 to 5 teacher (paper 1) test then they have to follow the following exam pattern For Primary class teachers. Level 1 consists of 5 sections. these five sections are listed below in the table. Candidates ought to complete the exam within 150 minutes.  It should be noted that there is no negative marking for the exam.

REET Level 2 Exam pattern

Till now BSER has not announced the official notification but candidates can go through last year’s official notification to check the instructions provided by the official website. REET 2011 Exam Date, Notification History

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), Ajmer, conducted the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) in 2011. REET 2016 Notification History, Check old Notification

In 2016, the Rajasthan Elementary Education department made a significant announcement, revealing 15,000 vacant positions for both TSP and Non-TSP teachers. REET 2020 Notification History, Check previous Eligibility

REET Exam Date 2020 Announcement:
